Vasco da Gama Still Has Not Decided Where It Will Host Boca in the Semifinal Second Leg

The clash between Vasco da Gama and Boca in the second leg of the Copa Sudamericana semifinals remains unresolved off the pitch as well. The Brazilian side still has not decided where it will play that match and, for now, the uncertainty is complete.

The main development is that the Judiciary denied permission to use the Maracaná, an option that had been on the table. From there, new possibilities began to emerge for hosting the Xeneize, although none has been finalized.

The options that emerged

According to the available information, among the names considered were Manaus and Brasília as possible venues. Even so, Vasco da Gama's main intention remains to keep the match in Río de Janeiro.

Defining the stadium is a key issue for a semifinal of this magnitude. Boca is waiting for a confirmed venue to prepare for the tie, while the Brazilian club is trying to solve a logistical problem that still has no final answer.

What's at stake

The match is part of a decisive Copa Sudamericana tie, with a place in the final on the line. In that context, every organizational detail matters, and the venue could end up being talked about just as much as the matchup itself.

For now, the only certainty is this:

• Vasco da Gama has not defined the stadium for the return leg against Boca.
• the Judiciary rejected the use of the Maracaná.
• Manaus and Brasília emerged as alternatives.
• The Brazilian club's intention is to keep looking for a venue in Río de Janeiro.

The ball has not started rolling yet, but the build-up has already left one certainty: the series between Vasco and Boca is also being played in the organization.
