La T claimed a key home win and moved out of last place in the Zona A. The 2-1 result also reshapes the standings battle and gives them breathing room on a matchday packed with decisive clashes.
The Millonario beat Atlético Tucumán and extended its good run in the Torneo Clausura. With that momentum, it remains in contention in the Tabla Anual and is targeting Libertadores places.
River heads to Tucumán with two straight wins and the need to keep pushing in the race at the top. On the other side, Atlético Tucumán are trying to cement their place in the Playoffs zone in a round that could shake up the table quite a bit.
Lionel Scaloni’s continuity at the helm of the Argentina national team has still not been finalized, although the AFA are confident an answer will arrive in November. Negotiations are ongoing while the steps toward the cycle mapped out on the road to the 2030 World Cup are being sorted out.
