The Copa Argentina has already started to shape its decisive stretch. The organizers announced the dates for the semifinals and, at the same time, confirmed that the final will be played in December.

How the semifinal schedule looks

According to the statement released, the two series will be played in different weeks, with kick-off times and venues still to be determined.

  • Atlético Tucumán vs. Platense: Wednesday 28 October.
  • Boca vs. Banfield: Saturday 14 November.

The news gives shape to the tournament picture at a key stage, with teams still in the race for a trophy that always carries weight. In the case of Platense, the clash comes after their coach, Martín Palermo, explained at the Olé Summit the keys he uses to manage a dressing room today.

The final, for December

The other major decision was the change to the date of the decider. The Copa Argentina final will no longer be played on the originally scheduled date and has been pushed to December.

That alters the roadmap for the teams still alive in the competition and extends the wait to find out who will be crowned champions. In a tournament that always delivers shocks and surprises, the bracket is now on the table. What remains are the fine details: the kick-off times and venues for the semifinals.

Boca, in the middle of a packed schedule

Boca deserves a closer look. The team led by Vasco Arruabarrena is facing a crowded schedule in the coming weeks, between the Torneo Clausura and the tie against Vasco da Gama.

Arruabarrena also spoke after the win over Unión and highlighted the progress of youngster Leo Flores, the scorer of two goals in the 3-0 against the Tatengue. He also praised the work being done at Boca Predio and addressed the absences, including Lozano.

In that context, the semifinal against Banfield stands out as another major fixture on Boca's schedule. The Copa enters its hottest stage, and every date is starting to matter a great deal.
