Arruabarrena highlighted Boca's annual title and has already set his sights on what comes next
Boca's coach praised the triumph in the Annual Table and stressed that, after a brief celebration, the team must focus on the challenges still ahead. Xeneize still have the semifinal of the Copa Argentina, the final of the Sudamericana and the Clausura playoffs left.
Boca took an important step in their season finish by clinching the Tabla Anual after beating Defensa y Justicia. The achievement secured a key objective for the Xeneize, but the schedule still leaves them three competitions ahead as they try to finish the year with a historic campaign.
What Boca still has left
With the annual championship already in the bag, the team led by Arruabarrena remains in contention on several fronts. According to the picture that has already been defined, Boca will have to split their efforts between:
- the semifinal of the Copa Argentina,
- the final of the Copa Sudamericana,
- and the playoffs of the Torneo Clausura.
In addition, the playoff bracket has been set in terms of qualifiers, with 16 teams already confirmed and only the ordering of Zone A still pending until the match between Lanús and Central Córdoba is completed.
The Vasco's message after the title
After the title, Arruabarrena focused on the squad's journey and on the need not to ease up ahead of what comes next. The coach stressed that the achieved objective is only one step within an already packed schedule.
Arruabarrena: “What matters is having met a goal we had. Now, celebrate a little and then work. We've spent some time eating shit; the club and everyone deserve it”.
In another of his statements, the coach summed up the atmosphere of the match and the title with a phrase that reflected the identity the team is trying to maintain.
Arruabarrena: “Today was so Boca”.
A year-end finish with several fronts open
The title in the Tabla Anual also had an impact on the overall qualification picture for the season, while Boca prepares for what could be a demanding conclusion across different competitions. In that context, the team remains one of the main storylines in the closing stretch of the local and international calendar.
The squad's voices were also part of the celebration, with messages highlighting the work done so far and the role of the coaching staff in this part of the year. But for now, the roadmap is clear: celebrate just enough and get back to work to keep the fight alive in the three tournaments still in play.
