Copa Argentina
Fortín and Rojo head into Matchday 3 of the 2026 Torneo Clausura with a perfect start and a direct battle for the lead in Zona A. In Liniers, both are looking to extend their good form and take a key step in the championship.
River Plate had more possession, more shots and created more chances, but Rosario Central won the match by a narrow margin on the scoreboard. The own goal by Nicolás Otamendi in the 27' ended up being enough for a victory that did not reflect what was produced.
The third round of the Torneo Clausura began with a win for the Mendoza side and also featured a goalless draw between Estudiantes RC and Banfield. Meanwhile, the weekend schedule puts River and Rosario Central at the center of the spotlight.
The Granate quickly changed gears after being knocked out of the Copa Sudamericana and is already setting its sights on the Torneo Clausura. At La Fortaleza, it will look to bounce back against Instituto and snap its negative run.
