Gimnasia M. beat Talleres 3-1 at the Victor Legrotaglie and backed up the result with more clear chances: it generated 2.5 expected goals to 1.2. Even with less possession, it was sharper and found its star in A. Modica.
The referee addressed the handball claim made by El Calamar in Vicente López and defended the decision taken in the match against Boca. He also explained why the VAR, led by Lucas Novelli, did not intervene.
Rosario Central won 1-0 at the Claudio Fabian Tapia stadium despite creating fewer scoring chances and taking fewer shots than Barracas Central. The difference was efficiency and a huge performance from A. Werner.
Racing fell 0-1 to Banfield in a match where it had 81% possession and generated 2.1, but came away goalless. Banfield, with just 0.4 and six shots, took a highly efficient win.
