Copa Argentina
The archive
Every tournament of Argentina's professional era, with champions, tables and match-by-match results. Plus the national cups: Copa Argentina, Supercopa, Trofeo de Campeones.

A look at the country's seven clubs with the most official titles once again puts the tradition of Argentine football front and center. At the top are Boca and River, symbols of a rivalry that is also measured in trophies.

The 1-1 left a fairly clear picture: Vélez had more of the ball, but Defensa y Justicia created more danger and more shots. The difference in attacking output was greater than the scoreline.

The referee addressed the handball claim made by El Calamar in Vicente López and defended the decision taken in the match against Boca. He also explained why the VAR, led by Lucas Novelli, did not intervene.

Rosario Central won 1-0 at the Claudio Fabian Tapia stadium despite creating fewer scoring chances and taking fewer shots than Barracas Central. The difference was efficiency and a huge performance from A. Werner.
