The heavy defeat to Atlético Tucumán left Gustavo Quinteros at the center of attention, and Independiente's leadership moved quickly. This Thursday there will be a key meeting to assess his continuity after the Copa Argentina elimination.
The 1-1 draw between Estudiantes de La Plata and U. Catolica showed a clear gap in attacking output: the home side created far more than it ended up scoring. F. Zampedri’s goal in the 80' leveled a match that, by the numbers, had been favorable to the Pincha.
The scoreless draw left a clear picture: Fluminense controlled the match with 73% possession and more shots, but failed to turn that into an advantage. Independ. Rivadavia, with less of the ball and less volume, held the line with organization and earned a point.
The club from La Plata freed up a roster spot and is now in position to register the former Racing player for the Torneo Clausura. Lucas Cornejo’s move to Ecuador opened the door in the squad list.
